let me try this one more time

If you're looking for gray roots, come back next week when the color's worn off. :)

Nothing, and I mean nothing, I intended to do between yesterday's post and right now has gotten done. I was way too tired for the physicality of cutting last night. I just couldn't get up and do it. When I woke up this morning, I tooled around, reading blogs for a while. I grew inspired by the things I saw (thanks for the tip on this blog, Lola), and jumped up to dress and shower and get my make on. All that stood between me and happy sewing was my hair. It was crying out for a wash. Seemed like my scalp was talking to me, saying Wa-terrrrr, pleeeease, waaattteeerrr. I turned on the tub faucet and nothing hot came out. Argh. I went back to bed until the hot water was fixed, and by that time most of the day was gone. And so my biggest weekend extracurricular accomplishment is clean hair.

Yeah, but you could still have sewn without washing the darn hair?!? I have only been waiting all weekend to see what you were up to...LOL....

Explain the hairstyle please. Is it those expensive sisterlocks? Or do you re-twist after each wash.....then I can understand not having sewn.

Heather -- Murphy's Law? Moon in Scorpio? I have no idea what went wrong with my big crafting plans this weekend! I'm going to have to make up time this week.

Yes! Sisterlocks. You're familiar, hunh? Considering that I've now had them for 10 years, maintain them myself for free, and got them as a b-day present, they've more than paid for themselves, lol. I really wish someone would come out with something else this easy to wear for kinky hair. I'm wanting to branch out into new hair territory.

'course I am familiar! How else would I know to ask...lol....for my kinkies, I cut....I love my hair 'au naturelle', but it is difficult to find help here to maintain long kinky hair (I might also add that I am very lazy about fiddling with hair). So I keep it short....very short...my Turkish hairdresser gives me a Grace Jones style every 6weeks....which everyone but myself hates. Love the 'wash&go' ability.

That was my attempt at being rhetorical, lol. But I am always impressed at how Sisterlocks have spread around the globe. I love that you wear your hair in a style that YOU love! Personally, I think a Grace Jones, Caesar cut looks FAB-O-LOUS!

Didn't Grace Jones have baby locks a couple of years back? What is she wearing now, do you know?
