consumption, i miss you already

Ah, the good ol' days of freewheeling spending. The days when I could buy what I wanted, budget, or lack thereof, be damned.

As of yesterday, February 1, those days are over. No more fabulous finds, like my beloved Rosey book, if they'll take me over my 60 dollar monthly limit. When I was thinking about how I'd handle this, I figured my strategy would be to hold off on spending until as late in a given month as I can. I could even see myself rolling money over to subsequent months. While spending 6.55 on "just because" wool felt over at Weir Dolls and Crafts on the inaugural day, I saw again that this isn't going to be so easy. I can't tell the difference between things I want in passing and things I really do want. Don't even mention the word need. I wouldn't know a bona fide need if it slapped me in the face.

Except one, I need something to do instead of buying things. Oh, I have plenty, but none yet seem like a sufficient emotional replacement.

Anywho. Here's a link I've been meaning to share forever. If you don't already use it for shopping on eBay, trust me, you will.

Toolhaus.org

eBay's feedback system is nice and all, but if a seller has a lot of ratings, it's impossible to weed through all of them and find the negatives and neutrals, the most useful info. Toolhaus allows you to type in a user name and all negatives and neutrals come right up. It's an excellent resource, and I'm sure has spared me few headaches.
