a little corner all my own

I'm obsessed with flickr's Corners of My Home group. I can't seem to get enough of peeking into other people's corners, yards, work rooms, bedrooms, porches, drawers, kitchens, broom closets -- you name it. This photo is my contribution to the group. If you check it out on flickr, you can read my notes. You can also visit the rest of the Corners photo pool. It really evokes the stuff of life. There's some beautiful and moving photography there, not to mention a smorgasbord for you if you happen to be nosy like me.

I may have to check out that site because I am fascinated by your corner here... but then, I think all the shots (I admit I am often a picture skimmer) I see on your blog tell volumes about a life. Kudos!

I'm nosy, too, so I enjoyed your pictures. (Tell me you didn't eat that entire ball of yarn.)

(a) You are gorgeous.

(b) Have you read/seen The Writer's Life? It's Jill Krementz's black and white photos of dozens of famous writers at work(spanning decades) with an accompanying quote from each writer explaining his or her writing habits. I love seeing how different writers get down to business, whether it's lying in bed or sitting on the kitchen counter or in a proper office and I love how they explain how they get inspired (or not). Plus it fulfills that nosy thing by showing their personal spaces.

kipluck, thank you. I'm a fool for a photograph myself. And I'm so happy that I've finally gotten the technology to snap away that I hardly know what to do with myself.

a) You are generous! And thank you!

b) My obsession with The Writer's Desk knows no bounds. One of my all-time favorite books. It's absolutely enlightening to see the environments in which people create words. And, you're right, it utterly fulfills the nosy urge!

Carla! Sooooo glad that you are blogging again! I've missed your insightful and well-written tomes!

I have too many corners to photograph them all! Each of my corners are filled with piles o' yarn 'n stuff! Your corner looks so neat and tidy!
